How to stay motivated
"Keep your head up, keep your heart strong. Keep your mind set, keep your hair long." Just so happens these lyrics are being sung by Ben Howard as I write this blog. I am now fully motivated to write this post and to grow my hair!
Staying motivated all the time is hard and not to mention, mentally exhausting. We all have those days where we lose sight of our goals and what's important. You could be bombarded with work, chores and just generally have lots of things on your mind. Sometimes you need a little motivation to help you complete those dreaded tasks which you've been putting off for weeks. Here's a little
advice from B on how you can stay motivated.
Taking control over what you can, and story worrying about what you can't. There is no point in worrying about things which you can't change. Focus on giving all of your energy into what you can control! Don't keep your head in the clouds, start getting things done. If you've made a mistake at work then don't let it get you down -
learn from it! Because you can't change it.
Surround yourself with positive people as often as possible, because people's moods and comments can rub off on you. Without realising, people's behaviour can affect your motivation, self esteem and general sense of well-being. Honey, you need compliments daily! Don't let anyone bring you down or dull your
sparkle.
Make physical activity apart of your routine. Going for a 15 minute jog to
Domino's the corner shop and back is a good way of letting off some steam. Whether it's taking up a new hobby, or just going for a regular run - it's a good way of escaping your troubles, but just remember you can't run away forever!
**B's Top Tip!** Set goals regularly - starting off with fairly simple ones to longer range goals. Whether that's completely a task by the end of the month to starting up your own business by the end of the year.
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
Remember to reward yourself. No matter how big or small the achievement, you should always treat yourself or have a little celebration. Like buying a
Bath Blaster and having a nice fizzy bath! - Sorry, excuse the hard sell.
Now get out there, and show the world your inner Beyoncé! We have faith in you Bomb Babes.
