Happy National Relaxation Day!
Let's face it, Summer has pretty much gone before it even started, so we're SO in the mood for a nice cosy night in with a perfectly heated bath full of gorgeous bath goodies. We like to consider ourselves relaxation experts (the proof is available in the form of how many naps we have on a weekly basis) , so we've devised a very important checklist to follow to ensure you allow yourself the most tranquil evening you could possibly have. You can send us a thank you note once you've woken from your best sleep ever.
1) Get all the rubbishy, boring homework/work/housework out of the way ASAP. Because let's face it, how on earth are you supposed to zone out and relax when there are tedious things like
those playing on your mind. (
Bonus Tip: Change your bed sheets. Ain't nuffin' better than fresh sheets.)
2) Spend an hour or two zoning out of the real world and indulge in your favourite hobby or something you wish you had time to do but somehow never seem to be able find time for. We're personally not ashamed to admit that one of our favourite things to do at a time like this is to colour. Yup, you read that right.
3) Ok, ok, ok. Now it's time for our favourite part; the relaxing pamper session (let's face it, you knew this one was coming).
Grab your favourite scented candle, dim the lights, and get that perfect temperature water filling the tub. To reeaaally relax, we pull out all the stops; a complimentary Blaster AND Melt is gon' happen for a serious dose of the power of essential oils.
We're usually a fond fan of watching YouTube or Netflix whilst bathing (hello PLL Season Finale), but to really relax, save that for another time. Find a good book to read or just simply lie down, close your eyes and breathe until the water turns cold.
Once you're out of the bath, treat your face to a good de-congesting face mask such as our
Rhassoul Mud Mask. Slather your body in a healthy scoop of Body Butter and you're good to go.
4) Clean Jim-Jams are a must-have. Fleece PJ's are like the ultimate comfort, and add that to the equation of the fresh bed sheets you changed earlier on the day, you're gonna be feeling as snug as a bug in a rug. Guaranteed.
5) Resisit the urge to Tweet/Instagram/Snapchat about how Blissful you feel, and instead, write it in a journal. There's something so cathartic about taking it back old school and actually writing things down pen on paper instead of going crazy with the hashtags online.
....Now, close your eyes little beauties, and indulge in the best nights sleep you've had in yonks.
P.S. We
totally had a nap in the middle of writing this list...
