The Easter bunny has been very busy here at
Bomb Cosmetics! And we’ve decided to have our own Easter Egg Hunt Competition!
You could be in with a chance, if you place an order and find a pink egg with a 'B' within your order – then you can win a prize! Eggs will be hidden at random within orders, so you better check carefully under all the packaging as you don’t want one to eggscape unnoticed! This feels just like Charlie and The Chocolate Factory when he was trying to find a golden ticket! We can barely contain our excitement.
This Easter Egg Hunt will start on Monday 10th April and end Friday 21st April. So get your shopping baskets at the ready!
So that’s how we celebrate Easter here at Bomb HQ – we take on the role of the Easter Bunny! Below are how Easter is celebrated in unique ways around the world.
Hungary
Easter is known as “Sprinkling” – you what?! Apparently it’s a tradition where boys playfully sprinkle perfume, cologne or water over a young women’s head, and then ask for a kiss! I don’t know about you, but I would be pretty annoyed if someone was sprinkling water over me! Definitely wouldn’t be getting a kiss.
France
Now this tradition is quite cool and particularly good if you like omelettes. In the town of Haux, a giant omelette is made which can feed up to 1,000 people! It takes 4,500 eggs to make the omelette, but once made it’s served in the town’s main square. My only question is – how big is this frying pan?

Sweden
Easter in Sweden is basically Halloween! Children dress up as Easter witches and go around the neighbourhood trading paintings and drawings in the hope of receiving some sweeties. Colourful headscarves? Painted red cheeks? We aren’t completely sure where this idea originated from! If you want to know a bit more about this tradition, then check out this
article.
Corfu, Greece
Now this one could release some real built up anger and I’m totally game for this! Pot throwing. I know right? The traditional of “Pot Throwing” takes place on the Saturday Morning, and you can throw pots, pans and other earthenware out of the window, smashing them on the street. Apparently throwing pots out of the window welcomes spring!
Bulgaria
Now this is one we could all definitely adopt in the UK! In Bulgaria, people don’t hide their eggs – they have egg fights and whoever comes out of the game with an unbroken egg is the winner! Just to clarify, you don't throw them at each other - that's just plain mean. It's your egg vs their egg! The best thing about it... you get to eat all your cracked eggs at the end... yummy! Sounds a bit difficult… but we love a challenge!
If you aren't 100% on how the egg fight works,
this article explains it step by step. Simples.
