Making mistakes is inevitable. We all make the same mistakes over and over again without even realising that they’re mistakes in the first place. We’ve put together a list of everyday beauty blunders and hopefully you’ll recognise a mistake you could be continuously making. We’ve got your back, don’t sweat it.
Here’s our top tips and mistakes spelled out for you:
Missing your weekly conditioning treatments.
Calling all girls who don’t give their hair the TLC it deserves! This beauty blunder is especially for you. You need to give your hair as much love as you give your face. We all use face masks, I mean c’mon, I know you’ve all seen that black peeling face mask which is currently trending! (If you don’t know what I’m chatting about then see here.) We recommend using our Honey Hair Mask, which is an intensive hair treatment and rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 oils.
Sleeping with your make up on.
Big no no! Almost as bad as not cleaning your brushes. Just dirty.
Touching your face.
Guilty! This one is so sugar licking difficult! Whether you have a spot you need to pop, or you are just sat there with your hand resting against your face. There are SO MANY germs! You must fight the urge and leave your face alone!
Is it time for a clean?!
Darling, grab those make up brushes and get scrubbing. I don’t even want to think about the amount of bacteria living in your brushes! Just ew. Once a month, with warm water and our Petal Perfect Face Wash, and you are onto a winner! Not washing your make up brushes could be the cause of those spots!
Keeping out of date make up.
What are you doing with your life? Do you live in a cave? Get rid of your out of date make up! Do I even need to say it’s not good for you? Again, lots of bacteria. You should be changing your mascara at least every 3 months.
One mistake you could be making on a regular basis is over exfoliating. You should exfoliate about two to three times a week if you have normal skin, and once a week for sensitive skin. We recommend trying out Rosy Cheeks Face Scrub – it’s a moisturising lotion based face scrub containing tiny silica particles. Cheeky!
Social Media Obsessed.
Social Media isn’t good for your self-confidence, and it also gives you false beauty expectations. The web is full of girls contouring by the age of 12 and prancing around in Yeezy clothing. There is nothing wrong with that – but you don’t need this false expectation in your life! Just because you don’t contour, doesn’t mean you aren’t naturally gorgeous!
I’m not even going to start on “Baking”. If you don’t know this term – then just stick with baking a cake!!
